Chad Rogers
Youth Minister

I look at Youth Ministry as an opportunity to help guide students in their walk with God.  My goal in Youth Ministry is to build up a group of students on the Word of God, and challenge them to pursue hard after God.  I understand the importance of reaching the youth of America at a young age, and pray that each student will make God the priority of their life!

I will graduate from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies in May, and in June I will marry Julie Mitchell.  Some of my hobbies are playing and watching sports, working and playing outside, and goofing off.  I am pumped to see what God is going to do here in Denison, and I am truly blessed to be a part of First Baptist.

I currently serve at First Baptist Denison as the Discipleship and Prayer Minister. I was saved at the age of 16 and have been preaching and teaching the Word of God ever since. I have served as a solo pastor, a youth pastor, an assistant pastor, and a lay pastor. I received my training in ministry from The Criswell College where I earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies (1997) and a Master of Divinity degree (2001). I have been active in church life for over 24 years and have been involved in mission trips to three other continents. My wife's name is Anne, and we have a son named Matthew (age 3).

Passionate and Relevant. That describes my attitude toward ministry. It is an absolute pleasure to be able to serve in a church that puts kingdom work beyond personal preferences and I am confident that God has uniquely positioned our church to have a major impact on this community.

In addition to enjoying hunting, fishing, and North Texas sports teams, you do not have to be around me long to realize that I am a proud father of two great boys Peyton and Fallon. My wife Rebecca is an amazing supporter of my ministry and community efforts and we look forward to making Denison our home for a very long time.
