I enjoy serving First Baptist Denison as the Children's Director and Church Secretary. I've been a part of the church staff for 10 years. As an adult I came to know Christ and began serving in the children's department; the rest is history. I love children, and better still, love sharing the love of Christ with them.  My husband Barney and I have four children, and feel very blessed to be a part of this church family.

I have been the Financial Secretary here at First Baptist Denison ever since my previous churched merged with First Baptist in July of 2003.  Before coming on in my current position, I served as a ministry assistant and a children’s summer intern.  Several years ago, I was invited to play softball with the women’s church league and came to know Christ through this ministry.  My husband Ron and I have three children - Michael, Roy and Ashley.  It is truly a blessing to be serving with the fellowship of believers here at First Baptist Denison.

I became a member of the First Baptist Church of Denison in June of 1984.  Over the years, I have had the opportunity to serve in various capacities, and it has been very exciting to watch God working in this place.  I feel a strong call to serve women and am currently serving as Women’s Ministry Coordinator.  I joined the FBC staff in November of 2006 as a ministry assistant and have never looked back.  I absolutely love the church, the staff, and my job.  My husband John and I, as well as our two sons, Chad and Riley, have many precious memories here.  It is a joy to serve at FBC.

Senior Adult Activities Coordinator

Serving part time on staff at FBC as the Senior Adult Activities Coordinator has been one of the greatest blessings of my life! I accepted the position just before my mother passed away in January of 2008. Mom was a big reason for my decision to give up a full-time nursing career to work with the senior adults here—she always loved being a part of this wonderful group. My husband Jack and I have five daughters, four grandsons and one granddaughter. Jack has been a great asset to me in this ministry. He not only drives the bus for our trips, but is quite entertaining with his crazy sense of humor. With such a large emphasis on youth in our culture today, I am thankful to serve at a church that still values senior adults the way FBC does.
