Women's Ministry
Welcome to FBC Denison Women’s Ministry!
We invite you to come be a part of God’s ministry with us. There is something for all ages, all interests, and all talents. It would be our pleasure to help you find a place (or two or three) to belong. I encourage you to learn the basics
of our ministry here at FBC, keeping in mind that while some of our ongoing ministries are listed here, we are always searching, changing, and going where God leads.
If you have questions about any of this information or would just
like to know someone who can help you find your place of ministry, feel free to contact me at womensministry@gsuite.fbcdenison.org.
Wishing you God’s richest blessings,
Carolyn Ramsey
FBC Denison Women’s Ministry Leader
Who are we?
We are women who seek after God's own heart. We strive to seek God in worship with our local body and seminars with other women; while serving in the local church or community ministry; by sharing our lives and growing in Christ as we meet together for bible study; and as we fellowship together during meals and fun learning activities.
What are we about?
We are organized using these five (5) principles: Worship, Ministry, Evangelism, Fellowship, and Discipleship. We use God’s Word in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and the Greatest Commandment (Deuteronomy 6:5) as the guideline for these principles.
Worship
Love the Lord your God with all your heart. When we express our love to God, we’re worshipping.
Ministry
Love your neighbor as yourself. The church exists to minister to people both within and outside the local church body. Ministry is demonstrating God’s love to others by meeting their needs and healing their hurts in the name of Jesus.
Evangelism
Go and make disciples. The church exists to communicate God’s Word. We are ambassadors for Christ, and our commission is to evangelize the world. Growth is not optional; it is commanded by Jesus. God wants people saved.
How do we accomplish this?
We have several teams in which you may participate. Our teams are organized using the principles above. Some of the ongoing activities are listed in the following information. We are continually developing new ideas and events to help us accomplish what God has called us to do. We look forward to serving alongside you to meet the needs of others as we step out according to God’s plan in His Word. Together we will grow stronger in our work. If you have ideas that you feel may fit into the goals of this ministry, please feel free to share them with a Women’s Ministry team leaders.
“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens the countenance of her friend.” Proverbs 27:17
We are always looking for events and activities in our local community that will also fulfill our goals. In the past we’ve done Habitat for Humanity Build, local Festivals, monthly meals, arts and crafts, seminars, and even fun out of town events.
