Joel Maresh

Student Pastor

Joel began serving as the student pastor in October 2018, leading our ministry to 7th-12th-grade students, as well as overseeing Area 56 (5th-6th grade). He has served faithfully in youth ministry for 8 years with churches in Denison, Gordonville, Temple and Jarrell, Texas. Joel attended and graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor to pursue a career in education and youth ministry. Along with his work at FBC, he also works for Denison ISD as a teacher at Scott Middle School. 

Joel and his wife Rachael married in 2017. Rachael is a life-skills teacher at Hyde Park Elementary. They both love working with students of all ages, serving the community that raised them, playing music and attending/watching sporting events together.
